I'll start off with the good points. The blue is a really nice color - true baby blue, not a green undertone. The hat is very lightweight and cool in hot weather. The brim is really wide and is longer lengthwise which provides adequate shade to the face and neck. The crown of this hat is quite deep which is probably fine for most average-sized adults. But I'm a petite 5' 1" woman with a 52 cm head so the hat band rested over the tops of my ears where my the arms of my sunglasses hit. And that became pretty uncomfortable after a while especially when the hat was cinched more tightly. It was wearable, but I did have to take breaks every so often. Now for the things I didn't like about this hat. Because the brim is longer lengthwise it frequently hit the handle of my hiking daypack and would cause the hat to shift forward on my head often especially when looking upward at trees and mountains. This might not be a problem for someone who is taller or has a larger head size, but it was annoying to me. Although there is an internal adjustment band it's really just a hook attached to a sort of grosgrain ribbon and you insert the hook into the sizing slots. The ribbon isn't elastic at all so when you adjust the hat there isn't any give or bounce in the band - it's really just strapped more tightly to your head. And the hook often fell out of the sizing slot when removing it and it often became caught in my hair. I would prefer an adjuster similar to the one on the ultra adventure hat which would give a more exact fit. This hat also does not have a chin strap, and will fly off your head easily in any wind heavier than a light breeze. Although I did review the sizing chart and knew the hat might be slightly large for my head I purchased it anyhow thinking it would be fine after adjusting the sizing, but I was wrong. It's found no problems with the quality or construction of the hat itself. It's not a bad hat - just not the right hat for me. I really think offering this hat in a smaller size with a different internal sizing adjustment and a chin strap could really help make this hat great. In fact, Sunday Afternoons, PLEASE consider MORE petite/small sizing for us tiny women!
