We wanted an ultimate performance cap, so we crammed a bunch of our favorite technologies into the Eclipse. Our Convertible Ventilation™ system covers for sun protection and opens up when airflow is needed. The Clamshell Brim™ lets you stow it away in your back pocket or the farthest reaches of your suitcase. Ear-friendly design keeps you comfy until the end of the road.
Wear it on your head. Stick it in your pocket. The amazing, space saving, folding brim engineered for life by the seat of your pants.
Hot heads rejoice! Finally it’s ok to flip your lid again. Our Convertible Ventilation flaps allow you to easily go from full coverage to fantastic air-flow. Breeze easy, friends.

The Eclipse cap is the best-fitting most comfortable baseball-style hat I ever had. picked one up two weeks ago for a week of canyoning in Utah. we had rain, hail, snow, sun and heat - the works. please produce this hat in a putty or light khaki color so I can buy another one.
The Eclipse I bought 3 years ago had a great design, it set great on the head, and flaps stayed in place tightly.
The newer Eclipse version - not sure when and how exactly it changed - does not sit right for me.... Maybe there is too much fabric or slight design shift... flaps don't stay tight as in old version, and has has wrinkles due to extra fabric.
In both versions the adjustable Velcro strap is not good. It loses grip because the "hairy" side of the velcro becomes fluffy and completely loses grip with the "hooks" side after several months. It is annoying, since this is not a cheap hat. Overall not too happy.
I have a tendency to lose caps, especially in restaurants. This cap was purchased prior to an excursion to Washington, DC with students, and served VERY well to keep the sun off my already-wrinkled face as we toured museums and monuments. When indoors, the folding brim permitted me to tuck the cap into a pocket and thus manage to complete a trip without a lost cap. Now, if the cap only came in Blaze Orange and Camo for hunting season!
I gave this hat to a friend who has a bald head. This cap offers good protection from the sun but still allows ventilation. Great practical hat for men who don't care to wear all around brims.
Love this hat,, when hiking in brush you can slip hat between your back and backpack, works great at keeping the sun off
Great hat, ordering another
