Brushline Bucket

I love this hat, but not so much Sunday Afternoon’s shipping. I got my first one from another store that shipped it flat (not folded) in a box, and it arrived in perfect condition. Decided to order a second one directly from SA since they now offer free shipping, but unfortunately they’re skimping on that shipping. It came folded in half in a paper envelope, and even if the creases eventually come out, it feels like the fabric has been slightly damaged in those areas and is more floppy. One of the reasons I really like this hat is that the brim is stiff enough to not flip up in strong winds, but I don’t think that will be the case with the deep creases from being folded. The hat itself is great, so I really hope they’ll reconsider how they ship their items!

If Sunday Afternoons could only combine the best features of the Solar Bucket, size options for 1, and the flatter brim and vent options of the Brushline, they might have 1 good bucket in their lineup. As is, this hat has one of the worst sizing fixes for a 1-for-all option I've tried. My head isn't tiny and I have to hook it on the tightest loop to make it feel a bit snug, and by then the back of the hat is bunching up like a half-tucked-in shirt.

Good product

The brim is stiff enough to protect my nose when it's windy, the mesh in the back keeps my head cool, and after my sunfish sailboat capsized, the chin strap meant I didn't lose my hat in the water. Great hat.

This hat is very light, comfortable, and has excellent ventilation. The sizing feature is innovative, and works well without the cords protruding from the back. The crown pocket comes in handy. My go-to hat for hot summer days.

I've had the Brushline Bucket for more than a year. It's been comfortable, functional, and held a good shape through many washes. While the first one is going strong, I'm buying another in a different color.

I got this hat because the brim is slightly smaller than my full on sun hat, so it’s not as awkward to wear in the car or indoors, but still provides a good amount of sun protection. I got the goldenrod color, and it’s a little darker in person, but still a cool color. It does seem to run a little small compared to my other hats of the same size, so if you’re in between sizes, probably best to size up. Oh, and the sunglasses holder is awesome! After having them in a couple of sun hats, I would never want to buy one without.

Top quality hat the fits my big head very well.

This seems like the perfect, all purpose hat for my Dad for Father’s Day. He has everything already and is, unfortunately got skin cancer, so was so so thankful to find the hat that seems to protect the skin, waterproof and is stylish to boot.

Had to return this chapeau . I loved the features and quality but it was not at all flattering in any way on my head. A hat should flatter! (at least not look like it does not belong). My fashion advisor agreed. Alas, it was not meant to be for me. Be mindful of how it looks on your noggin my friends.

I was a bit skeptical but then decided to pull the trigger. Glad I did, very comfortable, innovative easy size adjustability, cool sunglass holder. What more could I ask for. Oh yes, it's light weight and did I say comfortable! I know have this in my travel kit for hiking and have been using it on the golf course. If I had one recommendation it would be some custom patches offered for the front.

Amazing hat. I have two of them now and bought one for my boyfriend. The adjustable strap inside makes it fit perfect no Matter what. It works especially great. On boats and windy days because it stays on perfectly. It looks adorable and has cool features like hidden pockets inside and places to put your sunglasses.

Love this hat for thru hiking the PCT. I wore my first one out & just ordered my 2nd one. My preference is the Wetlands Camo, which is difficult to find. It's essentionally a blue camo style. Love it!

I have not used it yet, but I have another brushline bucket and I really like the color of this one.

Great comfortable hat. Easy to wash. This is the 2nd one I own.

Love this hat so much I bought a second one,
I got the mesa/juniper a month ago and been a daily wearer,,I do alot of hiking down here in Southern Arizona and its so light weight you dont even know you have it on,,love the dark underside of brim to ease the brightness,,,gets dusty down here and these hats I just run them under water and they dry superfast and keep they're shape,,,just picked up my second one cream/juniper today,,,,great hats!!

exactly as pictured. Nice adjustable feature. Good quality. Very satisfied.

My guy needs a hat to cover that bald spot..but he complains that hats are too hot. He LOVES this one. It is light weight, air circulates well and he can remove it and it will hang around his neck...i.e. he doesn't lose it.

Perfect "Dad" hat! Packable and crushable. Offers just the right amount of sun protection and has handled even a heavy downpour with ease and dries quickly. The shades pockets will push the brim down but it is still a cool feature. I love that it has a hidden pocket on the inside crown and wish all hats would offer this feature.

I had this model from 2 years ago as a "one size" fit. That was great and fit me (7-7/8 size). Now it's a "M/L" and it is too tight to be comfortable even with sizing strap not connected and tucked inside crown. Good product but not for large sizes - company should expand size offerings.

Nice hat, great colors, but unfortunately it didn't fit very well. I think I needed something just a little bit bigger. It was too tight and pretty uncomfortable. I really wish this fit!
