Women's Sundancer Hat

I use this hat all the time and have gotten many compliments on it followed by the question, "Where'd you get your hat?"!! I have one hat in the Periwinkle color and plan to buy at least one more in the light color. This hat is comfortable and the neck drape is very functional as well as attractive. I have a hard time wearing hats in the car because most brimmed hats hit the back of the seat, but this hat solves that problem. The chin strap on the hat is a necessity in the area I live (Wyoming) and I've worn it on some pretty windy days and have no problem with the hat staying on my head. The only reason I gave it a 'good' on fit rather than excellent, is because when I have the hat adjusted to the snug fit I prefer, the little elastic band under the adjustment strap folds under awkwardly and I have to fiddle with it a bit to make it lay flat. Other than that small detail, this is a WONDERFUL HAT....I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE---and I've been experimenting with hats for quite some time!

I have never liked wearing hats, but since my skin cancer surgery it is a necessity. I have found a hat I love! It has a nice wide brim, protects the back of my neck, is lightweight and looks great.

I have been looking for the perfect hat my whole life! I go to Hawaii every year, and needless to say, my ears and neck get too much sun. As I get older, the sun damage is not very attractive. I love my Sundancer! Its the perfect hat. Thank you.

Love this Sundancer's hat. I bought this hat in the purple and also the white. They are just perfect. I bought one of these for my daugher in law, who was just diagnosed with melanoma. She has to be covered well when outside, and this is the perfect hat. She looks absolutely adorable in it. It is so stylish...I am getting more for the rest of the women in my family. We all need to be protected. This hat fits wonderfully, and the strap is great if it is windy, or you are on a boat. Just love it.

I absolutely love this hat. I have one in purple and one in beige. I have purchased scarves to tie around the beige to change the look. I am currently receiving Chemo therapy and sun protection is a must. These hats provide excellent coverage and make me feel pretty and feminine too. I get many compliments on it especially when I wear it to the Denver botanical garden! I would highly recommend these hats!

A hat that is a pleasure to wear! I often find hats feel heavy and hot...but not this one. The material is so light that it sits gently on my head and that sweet waterfall over the neck is cleverly designed so it doesn't feel like an added hot layer and provides great protection with a scoop neck top. The brim is big enough to really shade and is situated to decrease sun glare in my face. Aside from all the comfort and effectiveness, it is fun and feminine. I love this hat and am thinking it will make a wonderful gift.

I have the periwinkle color. I love it and get so many compliments on it. I use this for dress and use the women's convertible cap for yard and car. It took me 60 years, but I will never go without a sun hat again.

I live in the tropics and was dubious about whether the fabric would be too sweaty, but this hat is lovely to wear. I also love the pony-tail hole - so it doesn't matter how I have my hair, the hat still works. Great design thank you.

I just love my new Sundancer Hat, I have the African violet colour which is a lovely rich colour that goes with so many of my outfits. The sun protection factor is also great with the wide brim and the neck veil giving great protection from our harsh Aussie sun. It is also light and cool, so very easy to wear, I think I have started something, my friends are very envious!

SunDayAfternoons makes good hats. I hike a lot with Meetup and saw that my hiking friends always had SunDay Hats. This hat has received a lot of compliments that it has good coverage and also stylish. I was asked very often where to buy it. I have two black ones.

I love hats and this is my all time favorite. It is so feminine and stylish that people are always asking me where I got it. I wear it on the beach, running around town, doing agility with my dogs...anywhere I need great sun protection. It fits so well that I forget I have it on. I have it in black and white, but would love to see it in more colors such as burgundy!

I bought the white hat because the white is the most reflective in the sun and stays cooler. It gives me really good protection from the sun. I also like that it can tolerate rain. I have been spending hours out in the hot sun and sometimes in the rain during outreaches for my church. This hat helps me to feel lady like and cool. It is a little tight but it might stretch with wear.

I wear this hat when I want a feminine look--like recently when I went to an outdoor barbeque. I also have several other styles of Sunday Afternoons hats, but this is my favorite when I want to be ladylike.

This is the most attractive sun hat I've ever tried and the only one I've received compliments on! I love the pretty colors. My only concerns have to do with the heat. I'd like more mesh and more sweat absorbers / wickers to keep my head cool and dry. I wear mine on cooler days-- spring/fall or cloudy--because it's too hot in the summer sun!

I ordered the Sundancer Hat because I liked it's wide brim and the tail which makes it very dressy and lady like. The hat is very lightweight and comfortable to wear. However, the tail is not as wavy as the picture and it has folded lines which makes it flat. I didn't expect to iron it.

I have a convertible and I find this hat is perfect -- it keeps the sun off my face, it doesn't block my view when I'm driving, and it looks cute! I have another one that I wear when I'm out walking. It's light, the waterfall back keeps the sun off my back, and it's light enough that it doesn't give me bad hat-hair.

I LOVE this hat! I've had skin cancer and have to be faithful about hats. I get compliments on my Sundancers every time I wear them. I have it in 2 colors and will be getting more. It's very convenient to be able to flop it back suspended by the chin strap when going in and out of stores.

My husband and I love being outdoors, especially hiking paths and bird watching. We live in the Southwest, so protection from the sun is paramount, as skin cancer is a real concern. I have six or seven Sunday Afternoon hats, which I love, since they protect all of my head and face. I especially love the Sundancer hat because of the beautiful way the back flap is finished. It looks feminine and dressy. I actually have three of them, in different colors. I do wish there were a subtly-colored hatband to dress up the look from the front and side. A great hat for looks and sun protection!

I went on my first cruise to the Western Caribbean. It was like being on the sun, it was very sunny and hot. I managed the heat while touring without melting by using to my Sundancer Hat. The shade it provided and protection from UVB rays was very noticeable. It was like being under a protective umbrella without knowing it because the hat was so lightweight. My sister was skeptical - "a hat is a hat" - but when she tried it on, she was convinced. My advice: Don't leave home without it.

I purchased my Sundancer Hat for two specific purposes: Riding in our Mazda Miata and for doing agility with my dog. I love the hat, with one exception. I wish the cap part was not so fitted. After wearing the hat, my hair is not suitable to go anywhere. If the crown were a little more roomy, I wouldn't have a flat hairdo when I take it off.

This is the most well designed hat I have ever seen. I'm on my second black one, I needed a gardening hat. I bought it in purple and white as well. It is so perfect and looks great! I bought my husband the men's field hat - he loves it.

Living in the Southwest, sun and leathery skin are big issues. I have lived here for over 25 years and have skin that looks like I hale from the beautiful Northwest! Part of that is because I protect my skin from the harsh sun. The Sundancer hat is a major part of my protection. It is perfect with its wide brim protecting my face and its cascading protection down the neck. And during our much-too-windy spring time, the chin strap is an essential. So far I own it in two colors and plan to order more. I feel very feminine and pretty wearing The Sundancer as we walk our two miles a day and work in the garden. This is a perfect hat! Quality, stylish protection from the sun. These are so beautiful and so functional. Even got caught in a downpour and the hat dried perfectly as if nothing ever happened.
