I use this hat for sun screen, and style. I like the comfort and fit and find it is acceptable at all occassions. The only thing I do not like about the hat is that it is my second hat of same style in two years, because someone 'shoplifted' my original hat when I left my seat at a Mall food court for a few minutes. This hat compares very favorably with the Borsalino straw Fedora that sells for over 2 1/2 times as much. I highly recommend this product.
