Your Review Comments This is the first hat I have found that does not flop up on my forehead or into my eyes in a stiff wind. When rolling my kayak, it stays on my head. Prior to this hat I had to use a tether from my life jacket to keep track of my hat when rolling or in extreme rough conditions.

Just returned from a surf trip in Mexico with my new Offshore Hat. I was pleased that the hat fit comfortably, without obstructing my vision in the surf; due to the neat flip up brim feature. I also really liked the coverage while stand up paddling in the open sun all day. While the look and feel of the neck veil was unfamiliar at first, I quickly got used to it. I definitely expect to see more and more of these hats out in the line up, as sun coverage is becoming such a topic of concern.

I originally bought this hat for keeping the sun off my face when I am surfing which it does. However I was pleased to notice that it also keeps the water out of my eyes after going under and it cuts a lot of the glare coming off the water. The chin straps are really comfortable and the brim does obstruct my vision that much.

Prefect Hat for small to mid sized waves. Would probably leave it on shore for a big day.

I've used this hat boggie boarding in the decent sized waves and the strong sun of Costa Rica. I LOVE this hat. I've had some significant/strong underwater tumbles where the hat has ended up off my head (still on my neck though), and it is no problem to quickly pull back on once I'm up for air, and there's no discomfort with the straps when this has happened. It's got a very comfortable/cushioned strap for pulling it tight. And of course, great sun protection.

Excellent surf hat. I like the ratcheting brim allows me to see better when paddling out but then flip it down when I am sitting in the lineup. The brim is also rigid enough to duck dive through waves, where the hat also has me squinting a whole lot less from the glare coming off the water.

One thing that could be improved is that the back flap will sometimes flip-up if there is lots of wind.

Overall great hat.
