Men's Adventure Hat

I bought my husband the Adventure Hat because he works in the garden in the very hot sun. He always forgets to put on his sunscreen until it is too late. Now when he goes out in the garden he grabs his hat and never has to worry about burning his face, ears, or neck.

Our whole family including our both our grandchild have one of these hats . The kids never ask to take them off and they can even go in swimming with them on as they dry really quickly.

I have purchased several other hats from Sunday Afternoons and love them all.

I have been using this hat when I hike up in the mountain and it is an excellent protection from the sun. I also use the hat during rainy weather because the fabric is waterproof. It is an excellent hat.

I ordered 1 Men's and 2 Women's Adventure Hats (different sizes). I got the sizes wanted but all 3 hats were the same hat. Later found out your hats are uni-sex. Uni-sex should be mention in your hat ads.

I do not have any hair on top of my head. Living in So. California near Palm Springs it can get HOT! I have never got sun burned after hours in the sun while using this hat. I have had a couple of hats for over 6 years now. Wash and wear and no sign of falling apart, Great Hat!

My husband bought this hat ~5 yrs ago. He's in lawn care and it has really saved him from the sun. People ask him about it all the time. It protects his head, face and neck. I just ordered one for myself and a Traveler Hat for my husband. They hold up extremely well and wash easily. He wears his every day, so it does take some abuse. Hand wash...line dry...it's ready to go.

This is the most comfortable hat that I have ever owned! I wear it for ALL my working and recreational needs! It's the ONLY HAT I've ever seen that protects my head, ears ,neck and upper face from the sun's harsh UV rays! And it's fit is so, so comfortable that you don't even realize you're wearing it! This hat's ventilation in all ways is superb as well! And a big thanks for the chin-strap when encountering any harsh windy weather! I'm just sorry that it took me all of 65 years to find this "Favorite-Hat!" A sincere thanks to you folks for such a fine product!

I bought this hat for my brother. He's in landscaping. He just loves it. He likes how lightweight the hat is, the ventilation and the coverage it offers. I purchased this hat for the sun protection it provides. It is great for any outdoor activity, lightweight and good ventilation. I wear it while doing landscape work and while watching my daughter's soccer games.

As a postal letter carrier, I've tried many hats in order to keep the sun off of me. This hat is by far the best at maximizing sun protection while allowing the breeze to flow through. Easily rinses clean and dries in no time.

I have a part-time job in Northern California working concerts as a security guard. Occasionally, I am required to stand guard in a position where I am directly in the sun all day with temperatures reaching upwards of 106-110 degrees. THIS HAT WORKS! It provides almost complete shade until the late afternoon hours when the sun is low on the horizon. Many, many times I have seen patrons pass me in the morning looking healthy only to see walking lobster faces by 3 in the afternoon. With this hat's extra wide brim and back flap, I have no problem.

One feature I really like about this hat is it rolls up and fits in a back pocket. Of course, doing so ruins the stiffness of the brim. To compensate I fold the brim upwards when I wear it. Doing so gives it a “cowboy” hat appearance in the front with a back flap in the rear. It’s expensive, but so far it has lasted 7 summer seasons and still in excellent condition. Highly recommended!

This is a Great Hat to wear when you are in the sun, so light and airy.

Use the hat everyday. I am retired and am outside all day. Keeps the sun out!!

love made in the usa. thats why i buy these hats. i can get plenty wide brim hats these days but few are made in the usa.

I've about worn mine out. I've had it for at least a couple of years, use it pretty much any day the sun's out, and here in California, that's a lot of the time. I love that it folds easily into my brief case, is lightweight, so extremely comfortable, and does a great job keeping the sun out of my eyes and off of my neck. I could do without the Lawrence of Arabia comments I get, but kids (I'm a substitute teacher) seem to love it. At first they find it funny, but mostly it creates curiosity and inquisitive minds.

This hat provides excellent sun protection, particularly for the neck. Good for men and women who have short hair!

I bought this hat for myself, and my husband and I fought over it during our whole vacation. I just bought him one of his own for his birthday!

I bought the men's adventure hat for myself to use in the garden, however my husband took it from me. He works in construction outside all the time. Since he has been using this hat he does not have the red neck burn that he usually gets, and does not need to rub all the greasy sun tan lotion all over his face, ears, and neck anymore.

I purchased 2 of the mens adventure hats for my husband and son and I'm so glad. They love them and are wearing them outside all the time. I am not so worried about them burning any more.

I bought this hat for my father who often has to have skin cancers removed from his face. He loves it because it's cool, lightweight, and stays on when he rides his bike. I don't think there is actually any difference between the men and women's adventure hat which you might be led to believe because the online catalog lists them separately. However, the mailer catalog lists the same hat as being for men and women. A medium for me (female) shouldn't be the same size as a man's medium.

I bought 2, one for myself and one for my husband. We wear them quite often. My husband especially likes to wear his when floating in the pool. Gives great coverage of your entire face, neck and ears. Venting keeps your head cool and it has yet to loose its form even though my husband often gets his wet. Love the chin strap for keeping the hat in place when its windy or you wear it on a boat.

I use this hat when I do landscaping work outside. In St Louis it gets hot and really humid and I usually do not like hats because they tend to make me sweat more and get hotter. This is the only hat that I wear - it protects me from the sun and is very cool to wear (meaning I do not get so hot). I keep it in my truck and it gets rough treatment but after 1 year it still look new. I bought to protect me from getting skin cancer. I recommend buying these products.

I'm a professional dog walker and am in the hot sun 8-10 hrs a day..I purchased this hat at my local REI to get the sun off my neck...I have had this hat a year now and it shows no sign of wear. It's very comfortable and worth all the money to keep protected.. In fact we are heading down to Key West, FL in a few weeks and I just purchased one for my wife.

This is my husband's 1st sun hat. At first he worried it would not breathe as it covers his entire head and would make him sweat even more. But the worry was clear after the first 5 hours use. He can feel the breeze through the mesh vents and did not sweat because the hat has so much coverage. Excellent material and excellent design.

I recently purchased the Men's Adventure Hat for my son. He has repeatedly "borrowed" my Sport Hat, wearing it throughout South America and on various camping and canoeing trips. He has been thrilled with its functionality and fit. Prior to heading to the far north (Yukon, Canada) to work in gold mining exploration, he had commented that he wished he had his own Sunday Afternoons hat like mine, but with a bit more sunscreen coverage. Always wear this hat when I am outside doing yard work. I find it keeps my face and neck protected better than any hat I have every owned. Would recommend this hat to anyone who needs maximum protection.

I have my own landscape design company and I have been using it for years, and even buying them for my crew. Overall is good.

With that said, for the last two/three years I have noticed the edge that sits on the head (my scalp-I have very short hair) just hurts. I remember the first one I had was great didn't mark my head, hurt or anything. When I purchased my third one I noticed this change and I thought it was just a defect of that specific hat; so I bought another one and later 2 or three more for my guys. To my dismay I realized that something had been changed in the design of the cushioning and now I am switching to another brand. I don't know, I have no problem in paying a bit more for quality, but quality has to be there.

I am a professional gardener on Cape Cod who's been wearing Adventure Hats for work every day for four years. During that time I've had no recurrence of the basal cell skin lesions I'd had treated in the past. Nursery-owners and garden customers have asked where they can order these hats, and I now see them sold in local shops. They're comfortable, durable, easily packed into a work-bag and I think they look great.

My husband has been wearing your adventure hat for 10+ years and absolutely loves it. He works in the sun every day, up on roofs, etc. He won't wear any other kind of hat and was mad when I didn't order new ones right away! He has worn several out from continued use. Keep up the good work and don't ever get rid of the Adventure Hat please!

One of the specific things he likes is that he can throw it under the seat and it doesn't get crushed so it is there when he needs it!

Having such a fair skin and now so many skin cancers; this hat is with out a doubt the best of many hats I have owned over the years. Lost my first one so bought another. It's very lightweight and cool, but will sometimes will blow of your head. I recommend it to everyone. When I get the money I will buy one of the water-sport hats for my boat. I can't find one that will stay on at high speed and the sun hurts the cancer spots I had cut off. 1st quality products. Trust me.

I purchased this hat for my husband. It is exactly what he needs and wanted for work on our ranch. We are located in the high desert. It's a great and comfortable design.

Protection and Durability.

This is the best designed sun hat on the market and offers the best coverage, comfort, and range of use. I had one for years, which I lost and replaced. The older version had an adjustable headband, so I could adjust the tension for comfort or tighten it when windy. Now, there is an elastic which I can't loosen when I want the hat to sit lightly on my head, so I recommend buying the largest size, you can always tighten the headband as the adjustment clasp is still there.

Incredible! I work outside in all types of weather and pride myself on my ability to dress for the conditions. When it is sunny, this hat and well ventilated foot wear make 100 degree weather very comfortable. I do not compromise on my comfort or safety, and this hat guarantees both. I've owned three of them, and I will own many more. Absolute must have! The only downside is that I can't find a printer who will put my company logo on it. Very small compromise I assure you.

I've tried many hats and Sunday Afternoons Adventure hat is the gold-standard...that no others I've found meet. Good looking, great sun (and rain) protection, and comfortable. I've had people come up to me and ask me about it...because they liked it so much.

I've had the white/blue adventure hat for about five years now. Used for boating and yard work. Cleans great in the washer, and virtually no wear and tear. I never thought the white would hold up so well. I just lost it and am buying the same hat again. These are lightweight as one reviewer put it, but are made to last, with quality materials. I live in Florida and have looked for years for a hat that's lightweight, durable, and covers the sides of my face, ears and neck.

I like everything about this hat, the fit, the style, and it does the job of protecting my very bald head.

I am very happy with the Adventure Hat. It is by far the best hiking hat I have ever owned. It is super lightweight so I barely even feel it on my head, it keeps my entire face and neck out of the sun, and it is really ventilated so my head doesn't get too hot. I also like how dark under-brim absorbs a lot of glare so I don't ever find myself squinting when wearing this hat.

Things that are mildly annoying about this hat is that the brim catches in the wind pretty easily so I put the chin strap to good use. I also lose some of my peripheral vision when wearing it but I guess that is to be expected with a brim this big.

I wear a 7 5/8 ball cap and the large Adventure fits me best as long as I size it down in the back some.

This hat is far from fashionable but if you are looking for good on the trail sun protection it is the best!

My husband teased me mercilessly when I bought one of these for myself to wear while gardening, and then he used it one day while kayaking and now he loves it! I need to get him his own for Christmas.

I just returned from the Bahamas and was driving down Indiantown Road in Jupiter Florida and saw a GOOD hat on the side of the road. I turned around and picked it up and tried it on. It fit well and I brought it home and washed it. I have been a fishing guide for 25 years and I can tell by the fis that this is and excellent product. I have had all kinds of different hats and this is a good hat and I have not even used it yet. I look forward to years of use out of it and will be buying others.

i found these hats in the clearance at rei and since i work outside all day in new mexico my ears dont crack anymore the back of my neck looks human. these hats are the bomb

Practical, very light, good ventilation.
Only bad aspect i found is that its material feels so much thin, and light for a sun protective hat. It looks thicker, and robust on the pictures.

This is the best sun protection hat. It's great for someone like me with fair complexion. I've had mine all over the globe and frequently people ask where I bought it.

I love this hat and won't hike the Arizona desert trails without it! The design protects my face and neck from the sun while at the same time, the hat is so light and well-ventilated, it is as though I'm wearing no hat at all. The brim is designed perfectly to shade my face while not obscuring my view of the scenery. Every time I hike, I see more people wearing the Adverture Hat!
