| BUILDING A SCHOOL: CAMBODIA Sambour, Cambodia, near the Angor Wat temples, is a forgotten community that is sidelined from all social, educational, economic and public health infrastructure. The existing school, is a one room shack built of branches; most walls are missing. The school is on the verge of collapse. We Care Cambodia, is the sponsor of this project. | THE FAMILY NURTURING CENTER The Family Nurturing Center is a non-profit program, born from community need and created by a community that cares about its children and families. They are a child neglect and abuse prevention and intervention program designed for high-risk families with children from birth to age five. The FNC was created in 2006 in response to the growing number of child abuse victims. From a small beginning in one room where four children were served, they have grown to a staff of 21 professionals who have served over 400 children and their families. Sunday Afternoons helps sponsor this important non-profit by outfitting the staff and children with Sunday Afternoons sun protective hats as well making intermittent product or cash donations used in fund raising events.
