One of the best things I ever bought my twin granddaughters. I purchased this style again this year since they had grown and I needed to size up. My daughter and I both love the style's coverage, colors, fit, and the fact that the fabric can get wet in the pool. She is especially pleased that the hats can be folded for storage in the diaper bag without any damage to the shape so they are always handy--even protecting the girls from the sun streaming in the car windows. We also love the strap for the extra security on windy days at the playground and on outings. Our 19-month-old girls ask for the hats when they go outside, so I would say that is definite proof of their comfort!

Great hat. Protects her head and eyes from the sun. I originally ordered the 6-24 mos size for my 12 month old but it was way too big! I kept it for next summer and then ordered the smaller size. Even the smallest hat is a little big on her but it works and she leaves it on. Overall I am pleased with the hat. The measurements on the website are accurate - make sure you measure your baby's head before ordering.

Bought it when my son was ~15 months old and he wears it outside everyday (and even in the pool, since I keep his head above water). Great protection, keeps his face shaded, love the chinstrap that has a safety mechanism where it releases if there's too much stress on it (so the kid won't choke). I actually bought it on Amazon and the description wasn't as clear as it is here on Sunday Afternoons, so I thought the Baby size had mesh panels when it doesn't. But no big deal, the hat worked great.

As soon as my son tried on the SA play hat, I quit wasting time and money on any other hats! It doesn't even matter to me how many compliments we get on how adorable it is (lots!). What matters to me is that its wide brim and drape provides COMPLETE sun protection in a very lightweight, comfortable hat. The gentle (nonbinding) elastic in the back of the hatband will allow him to wear this one for quite a while. The chin strap is easy for me to use and comfortable for him. We keep one of these at home and one at daycare!

This hat fully covers my 15 month olds ears, face, neck and even upper back. He is pretty good at keeping granite and baseball caps on, but in the past has had a difficult time keeping brrimmed sun hats on. Usually the wide brim obscures his view and he rips it off. This is the only hat he doesn't mind. Plus there is a strap! I also love that this hat has SPF 50 and can get wet. It dries super fast.
